Hi, I'm Tom. I've been climbing since 2010 and teaching since 2011. Currently I hold my Climbing Wall Award (CWA), and I'm working towards my Climbing Wall Lead Award (CWLA), Mountain Leader (ML), and Single Pitch Award (SPA) as and when time allows it.
I initially started climbing with Brunel University Mountaineering Society. It is a brilliant club and allowed me to learn a wide breadth of skills very quickly and start building experience both indoors and out. By the end of my first year, I was already in North Wales trying some of the multi pitch trad routes at Tremadog!
I soon became enthralled by the sport and was blown away when I realised I could teach it. I quickly got my CWA and started working for some local companies, and soon after I had to take over coaching duty for Brunel Climbing as their instructors retired.
After some time freelancing, due to a company shutting down I decided to start my own business. It's been a steep learning curve with some pain and heartache along the way, but it's been incredibly rewarding.
Through all of this, my motivation has been to help people improve their confidence, fitness and gain a sense of achievement through climbing.
